"When I said, 'My foot is slipping,' Your love, Oh Lord, supported me."
- Psalm 94:18
Earlier last week, along with some of my co-workers, I set off to climb Mt. Kan-Irag. We expected it to be an easy climb, since our research told us there was an established trail that we could follow. Some kilometers later, I was definitely sure that we were on the wrong trail. Not one person blogged about the trail to Mt. Kan-Irag being steep, and the ground we were walking on were too steep: one slip of the foot and we'd be rolling down the mountain and possibly hit our heads on rocks.
But I wasn't trembling with fear. Yes, my knees were trembling out of exhaustion, but my heart was unafraid. My feet may fail, but I know God will always catch me.
"The Lord is the stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid?"
- Psalm 27:1
Whether it is a literal mountain or a figurative one, trust that God will not allow you to tumble down, hit your head, and bleed to death. He will hold onto you. Hold on to Him.
