Sunday Lessons: Because you are a recipient of grace, know how to extend that grace.

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms."
                                                                          - 1 Peter 4:3-7

Sometimes, it is so much easier to ask what people can do for us, instead of asking what we can do for them. We always question, "What's in it for me?"

For so long, I've operated by mutualism. Give and take. I found it hard to understand how someone could do something for me without expecting anything in return.

But God has shown me that you have to give, not to receive something in return, but because you've been given. Because God has given you His grace.

"The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Be good anyway."
                                                     - Mother Teresa

Will it be painful? Yes. Will it be difficult? Yes. Will people take advantage of you? Probably. There will probably be times when people would want to be with you not because of who you are, but because of what you can do and what you can give. Do anyway. Give anyway. Share your talent, share your knowledge, give your time, give your wealth for the good of others. Give your love for the good of others.

"When you can't get a miracle, you can still be a miracle to someone else."
