Andromeda

And we laid under the stars
Hands clasped in the dark
Thoughts hovering with the airplanes
Hearts racing, almost bursting
with fullness.

Gone are the minutes, seconds
The days we chased our rainbows
Nights we spent dreaming our lives away
The galaxy's weight did not break us
Storms did not faze us
and today, right this moment,
the world is in our hands.

Allow to stand until the next laboratory period.

Just like the silver nitrate-hydrochloric acid reaction, we only had to wait one day to achieve complete precipitation. God is good, and His grace is infinite, so I am now a licensed pharmacist, and our batch was able to bring glory to our alma mater.
And please allow me to give a simple speech of gratitude. To our families and loved ones. To the people who gave us what we needed to have. To the people who taught us what we needed to know. To the people who believed that we can make it. To the people who challenged our capabilities. To the people who shared their time and knowledge without asking for anything in return. To the people who were there, every step of the way. Thank you for the prayers, for the encouragement, for the help. We wouldn't have made it without you. With your help, and because of God's amazing love, I am now Jazel Elaine E. Ignacio, R. Ph.

Silver nitrate - hydrochloric acid reaction - a step in the standardization of silver nitrate solution that yields white precipitates of silver chloride which are insoluble in water but soluble in nitric acid. The whole process is performed in the absence of light to prevent oxidation of silver molecules.

Reach

“Other things may change us, but we start and end with family.”
                                                                              - Anthony Brandt

Thank you, Father, for being the tactful hand that molded me into the person I am now. Thank you for being our stronghold. Thank you for showing me that with determination, goals can be reached and dreams can be fulfilled. And I'm on my way. Happy Father's Day! I love you.

Believe.

“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in Him alone.”
                                                                                 - James 1:5-6

After all the clouds go by, the simple things remain.

The vastness of the world
is nothing compared to Your great love
that I can hear the birds' serenades
that I can feel the winds' caresses
and You're in everything I see.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

Or so they say anyway. So although we only have 14 more days (not that we’re counting) ‘til the ultimate test, we still squeeze in some fun times between the braincracking sessions.

Some afternoon games

Five minute photoshoots

And some random stuff...
like watching the NBA finals. :)

Even God rested on the 7th day, so I don’t feel too guilty for not always stirring and decocting and osterizing my brain. Tomorrow is another day.

That may be all I need.

Now that we got that out of our systems, it's time to get back on track. Reality resumes today. No more stalking of Flickr photostreams (or just one photostream :P), of blogs. No more Starbucks nights. No more roadtrips. Goodbye, outside world. I'll see you in three weeks!

I miss reading stuff other than my notes. I swear I'm gonna read a dozen novels when this is all over. And this post is untitled and in monochrome because I'm running out of creativity, most probably due to the aforementioned failure to read creative pieces.

Theory of Spontaneous Generation

Welcome to the world, Baby Zadie! You're the pinkest baby I've ever seen! I'll see you on July 4 and I'll take as many photos of you as I can. I love you! :)

“Regardless of who you are or what you have been,
you can be what you want to be.”
                                                                                                        — W. Clement Stone

Some people are smarter than the others. Some are richer, some are luckier. But that doesn't mean they're better people, or that you're less of a person. I believe that no one's really better or worse; we're just different. So yes, believe me when I tell you that you deserve whatever it is you dream about.

All I Hear

Emo, I know. But the song's stuck in my head right now.
And no studying, because creativity wins over logic tonight. :D

α-amylase

Munching on some melt-in-the-mouth pastels (thanks, Kimberly) while studying about enzymes. Oh Biochem, why can't I learn to love you?

My life is not as colorful as my school supplies.

Unfortunately, my life is not as colorful as my school supplies. It's basically eat-sleep-pharm everyday. And can you believe it's already June? It's insane. Last year, all I was looking forward to was March and now it's June and it's getting more and more scary everyday. :s
